This Afternoon.....

After a modest turnaround, I am looking to kick things into high gear. Last night I had the displeasure of watching the Mets collapse, yet again. While they have been a resilient bunch of chooches all year, I cannot help but think last night really hurt. Its one thing when an overused utility player makes a big error or strikes out with runners in scoring position but when the top reliever blows a game its worse on the teams psyche. As a result, I am releasing the Cardinals -130 today over the Mets and over 8.5 . The pitching match up stinks so it comes down to hitting and thats where almost every team in baseball (college, little league,etc.) holds a big edge against the Mets.
